Thoughts

Your smiles and giggles were infectious, even from a little baby. You were deeply loved by everyone who ever knew you and you loved them back just as much 💕. A huge bundle of fun, who loved dancing and food, especially chocolate! You were always there for anyone who need help or a listening ear. We were very lucky to have you as a little sister, and an amazing Auntie. The love, joy and laughter we shared will always be treasured memories which we look forward to sharing with Thomas and Miles.

Dear Jilly. Wow, we met over 40 years ago! I can’t remember our exact age, but you used to visit Pennymoor at weekends and holidays. We would meet up and play games, go for a bike ride or walk around the village. I think you gave me chicken pox when we had a sleepover, or perhaps I passed them on to you. We became very close when you moved 4 doors away from me, when we were 13/14 years old. We spent hours together, our journey on the school bus was always fun, testing each other on homework, although I took French and you German, so I’m not how well that worked. Singing songs from the latest smash hits magazine, I don’t recall anyone complaining, so we must of sounded great. After school at each others houses, watching videos, listening to music, and weekends were filled with YFC. We had great fun at the discos, showing off our dance moves. I remember a Sunday school outing during our last year or so of school when we eagerly watched a fella with a metal detector completely bypass the coins that we hid in the sand. We were gutted although it was only pennies. And of course our holiday to butlins with George and Shirley, being very grown up drinking port and lemon. All too soon school was over and we went into the world of work, so didn’t see so much of each other. Leading busy lives, making new friends, and of course boyfriends, and the years passed by. We both got married, and you had your wonderful boys. It was always lovely to bump into you, you always had a smile and a wave, and time for a little chat. There is a star that shines in my heart for you. Rest well my best friend xxxx

Dear Jill, you came into our family as a bundle of joy. My 'baby' to push around in the pram and buy pretty things for when you were little. This should not have been your time to visit the stars. xxxx
